Greetings, faculty!
Please see the list of announcements, funding opportunities, and resources below. Archives of previous updates are available on ORSP’s blog.
Announcements
- Please join ORSP in wishing a fond farewell to Lindsey Nabors. Her last day with us is Friday, June 14. I’m sure you have enjoyed working with her as much as we have, and we wish her all the best. She will be greatly missed!
- Because the Pre-Award team will be shorthanded, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of ORSP’s engagement timeline and policy regarding late-notice proposals. Depending on the requirements of the sponsor or program, proposals with fewer than 5 business days advance notice may face barriers that prevent submission or may only receive a retrospective compliance review post-submission. ORSP reserves the right to withdraw late-notice proposals or decline an award for such a proposal if a post-submission review identifies any non-compliant elements that cannot be satisfactorily resolved.
- ORSP will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. We look forward to reconnecting with you on Thursday, June 20.
Reminders
- The UTC Research Institute has announced a call for concept papers to invest at least one new interdisciplinary focus area. Concept papers are due July 15, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

Sponsored Projects Policy Spotlight: Effort Certification
Sponsored Projects Policy FI0215 lays out the policies and procedures for effort certification on sponsored projects and the roles of the PI and the department in this process. Curious why ORSP calculates salaries based on effort in proposal budgets? It’s to help you adhere to this policy!
