Greetings, faculty!
Please see the list of announcements, funding opportunities, and resources below. Archives of previous updates are available on ORSP’s blog.
Announcements
- In alignment with President Boyd and Chancellor Dooley’s messages to campus, ORSP encourages researchers to continue to implement their awards and to submit proposals to open funding opportunities. Be on the lookout for changes to application requirements, re-releases of funding opportunities, and additional guidance. Please share any sponsor notifications you receive with Meredith-Perry@utc.edu and Yousef-Hamadeh@utc.edu. You can monitor NSF’s response to the executive actions here.
- Missed today’s DASH Research Conflicts of Interest training? Join the Office of Research Integrity on February 13 for an encore training. No registration is necessary – simply click here to join. Learn more about RCOI on ORI’s webpage.
- The next Meetup for Researchers will be held on Friday, February 21 at 11am, featuring MOCS Innovate. Learn more and register to attend here.

Sponsored Projects Policy Spotlight: Responsible Conduct of Research
UT Policy RE0001 details our policy for Responsible Conduct in Research and Scholarly Activities, the types of activities this policy applies to, and procedures for research misconduct investigations. In addition to the standard RECR training required for NSF, USDA, and NIH-supported personnel, UTC maintains a Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) membership which provides training courses in a range of research-related topics. If you have questions about this policy or potential training opportunities, please contact the Office of Research Integrity at rcr@utc.edu.
Additionally, federal agencies have launched 4 online research security training modules. Learning outcomes include recognizing and protecting against research risks and threats. To learn more and complete the free modules, click here.
