Funding Opportunities
NEW – Tennessee Arts Commission Arts Build Communities NOI
The Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant program is designed to provide support for arts projects that broaden access to arts experiences, address community quality of life issues through the arts, or enhance the sustainability of asset-based cultural enterprises. Projects must involve a broad audience and cannot be primarily for the benefit of students or campus at large. The maximum award request is $5,000, and a dollar-for-dollar match is required. UTC is limited to 1 proposal per competition deadline. To be considered for nomination, you must submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) in InfoReady Review by April 19. If we receive more than one NOI, an internal competition will be held to fill the nomination slot. Click here to preview the NOI requirements and apply by April 19. Note that initial conversations with appropriate administrators on the source of the 1:1 cost share are required at the NOI stage.
NEW – NEH Summer Stipends NOI
The NEH Summer Stipends program is an individual fellowship that provides stipends of $6,000 to support two consecutive, uninterrupted months of full‐time study or research in the humanities. The full solicitation, including a list of allowable and unallowable activities, and links to recorded webinars are available at https://www.neh.gov/grants/research/summer-stipends. There are two pathways for submission depending on your appointment:
- Non-tenure track faculty, including adjuncts, may submit directly to NEH.
- Tenured and tenure-track faculty must be nominated by UTC to submit to NEH. Each institution is limited to 2 nominations per competition deadline. ORSP is accepting NOIs to determine if a full internal competition will be needed. To be considered for nomination, interested tenured and tenure-track faculty must submit an NOI through InfoReady Review by April 19.Click here to preview the NOI requirements and apply by April 19.
REMINDER – Open Publishing Support Fund

Sponsored Projects Policy Spotlight
Sponsored Projects Policy FI0210 lays out the policies for cost sharing on sponsored projects. Curious why the UT System discourages including voluntary cost share on proposals? It’s all in this policy!
