Announcements
- In the event of a federal government shutdown, ORSP expects all federal proposal submission portals to remain functional; however, help desk support may not be available, and POs will likely be unresponsive to email. If you are working on a proposal with a deadline in early October, you may consider preparing the proposal for submission by September 30 in case technical support is needed, but this is not required. PIs should continue to implement their federally sponsored awards as normal; if you receive a “Stop Work” order, please forward it to Meredith-Perry@utc.edu and Yousef-Hamadeh@utc.edu.
- The Journey Health Foundation Research Center in the Gary W. Rollins College of Business will host the next Speaker Series on October 2, 2025. Sycamore Institute President Brian Straessle will discuss the institute’s work and share insights on the relationship between housing, health, and well-being. Learn more and register here.
- The UTC Office of Research Integrity is offering two virtual training sessions in preparation for the upcoming implementation of DASH Research IRB. The sessions will be held on October 22 and October 23 at 2pm. A link will be provided on the IRB website. Anyone who conducts research with human subjects or data (including students in a classroom setting) are encouraged to attend one of these sessions.
