- The internal selection window for the ORAU Powe program closes Wednesday, November 5. Review eligibility criteria and apply here.
- DASH Research Safety is hosting a virtual town hall on Tuesday, November 4 from 10-11am. Researchers whose work involves IBC and RSC protocols are especially encouraged to attend. More details, including the agenda and access link, will be available soon on the DASH Research Safety site.
- The College of Arts and Sciences is hosting “AI Research Symposium: Rethinking Humanities and Social Sciences Research in the Age of AI” from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, in the University Center Chickamauga Room. The symposium will feature 2 in-person panels and a virtual keynote. Advance registration for the Zoom keynote is available here.

Sponsored Projects Policy Spotlight: Participation in Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs
UT Policy RE0003 applies to any individual who contributes in a substantive, meaningful way to a research or development project (e.g., a senior or other key personnel). Covered individuals must adhere to the following UT procedures:
- Disclose participation in any Foreign Talent Recruitment Program to the University as an outside interest in accordance with GE-0002 (Conflict of Interest & Commitment) within 30 days of the participation.
- Disclose participation in any Foreign Talent Recruitment Program to federal agencies through CPS documentation at the time of proposal submission.
- Certify that they are not party to a Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program, as defined in this policy, at the time of proposal submission. Individuals who are party to such a program are not eligible to serve as key personnel on a federally sponsored program.
- Participate in training related to participation in foreign talent recruitment programs.
