Drs. Gregory Heath and Joanne Romagni (Vice Chancellor for Research) has received $87,560 from the National Center for Research Resources for the project entitled, “NIH BRAD – CREATE.”
Dr. Nicholas Honerkamp (Social, Cultural and Justice Studies) has received $2,149 from St. Simons Land Trust for the project entitled, “Proposed Archaeological Bounding of a Historic Component at Indian Field, Cannon’s Point Preserve, St. Simons Island, Georgia.”
Mr. Charles Mix (IGT Lab) has requested and received $1,799 from the Land Between the Lakes Association Inc. for the project entitled, “TN Valley Water Trails Data Update.”
Mr. Charles Mix (IGT Lab) has requested and received $1,438 from the Enterprise Center for the project entitled, “Spatial Analysis and Mapping of Historic Tax Data for Chattanooga, Tennessee.”
Dr. Hong Qin (SIM Center) has received $133,543 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CAREER: A probabilistic gene network model of cellular aging and its application on the conserved lifespan extension mechanisms of dietary restriction.”
Dr. Joanne Romagni (Vice Chancellor for Research) has requested and received $720,000 from the UC Foundation for a number of projects supporting academic initiatives and educational excellence.
Dr. Anthony Skjellum (SIM Center) has received $59,904 from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for the project entitled, “Fast Failure Recovery Methods MPI Applications.”
Dr. Kidambi Sreenivas (SIM Center) has received $99,982 from Pointwise, Inc. for the project entitled, “Mesh curving for higher order applications.”
Mr. Takeo Suzuki (International education) has received $163,167 from FHI 360 for the project entitled, “Social Entrepreneurship SUSI Institute.”

John Freeze (Center for Professional Education) has requested $33,989 from the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs for the project entitled, “Crucial Conversations in a Law Enforcement setting with a Domestic Violence focus.”
Dr. Pamela Guess (School Psychology) has requested $45,713 from the Tennessee Department of Education for the project entitled, “School Psychology Intern Program.”
Tricia Henderson, Dr. Deanna Anderson, Matthew Brown, Brett Fuchs and James Hicks (Student Affairs), Dr. Morgan Cooley (Social Work), Craig Hamilton (Campus Law Enforcement), Dr. Elizabeth O’Brien Oden, Dr. Ann Ordway, Mark Rehm and Dr. Michelle Rigler (Counseling Center) have requested $301,625 from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services for the project entitled, “UTC GLS Suicide Prevention Project.”
Dr. Renee Murley (School of Education) has requested $615,000 from the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga Incorporated for the project entitled, “Chattanooga Teaching Fellows Program.”
Dr. Donald Reising (Electrical Engineering) has requested $24,883 from the Southeastern Center for Electrical Engineering Education for the project entitled, “RF-DNA Fingerprinting: Assessing the impact of extrinsic sources on waveform coloration.”

Drs. Anthony Skjellum (SIM Center) and Farah Kandah (Computer Science & Engineering) have requested $489,663 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CPS: Medium: Collaborative Research: RUI: Identity, Trust, and Resilient Architecture for IoT/CPS at Scale.”
Dr. Anthony Skjellum (SIM Center) has requested $328,534 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CPS: Medium: Collaborative Research: Power-Consumption-based Detection & Analysis of Sabotage Attacks in Additive Manufacturing (PowerDetect).”
Dr. Anthony Skjellum (SIM Center) has submitted a preliminary proposal to the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CRI Preliminary: CI-P: Building a Federated IBM Power-based Cloud and Community for Heterogeneous HPC and Data Science.”
Drs. Kidambi Sreenivas (SIM Center), James Newman, Robert Webster (Mechanical Engineering), and Craig Tanis (Computer Science & Engineering) have requested $310,667 from Auburn University for the project entitled, “Robust Scale Resolving Turbulence Models for Higher-Order Streamlined Upwind Petrov-Galerkin Finite-Element Methods.”
