Come audition the newest of Lupton Library’s technology offerings: a pair of very basic audio-visual workstations. Library users can watch DVDs using Cyberlink’s PowerDVD software and watch VHS tapes using AVerMedia Technologies’ AVer MediaCenter. Our patrons can listen to cassette tapes and LPs and even record (convert) them to digital mp3 files using Spin It Again from Acoustica. Library users can also do basic audio editing using Audacity, and basic movie editing with Microsoft Windows Movie Maker.
Due to security limitations, these workstations don’t have internet access; so feel free to check out a laptop from the circulation desk. Users will also need their own storage device to save files as nothing is saved on these workstations.
