In 2008 we received a collection of 150 Andy Warhol polaroids and prints through the Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program (our art department acquired the items and we house them). These images represent an important part of Warhol’s creative process in which he took enormous numbers of polaroids as inspiration for his silkscreens. {Aside: Polaroid, which now counts Lady Gaga as its Creative Director, purportedly kept a specific camera model in production just for Warhol.} Subjects included famous icons of the day, friends and visitors at The Factory, anonymous individuals, and still life scenes.

Dolly Parton looks very young on this picture. Great photos.
