This semester our instruction librarians will be using Turning Technologies clickers to enhance our library classes. English Composition courses will be the first to get to experiment with the new tools by participating in fast-paced, interactive games.
Clickers are a fun way to facilitate student participation and peer-to-peer learning, which are both effective strategies for information literacy instruction. UTC librarians are big proponents of active learning techniques, and we are excited about experimenting this semester.
Have ideas for how we can use clickers in your class? Send us an email! – Caitlin Shanley, Instructional Design and Technology Librarian
