The Library is now receiving proposals for our Library Enhancement Grant Initiative.
Each year the Library invites faculty members to submit proposals for the one-time purchase of materials as part of the Library Enhancement Initiative. By ‘one-time’ we mean materials that do not have recurring costs, in general this includes most books, music, and media. Materials such as journals and databases have yearly subscriptions costs, and, unfortunately, cannot be considered.
The purpose of this initiative is to support faculty who are developing new courses or research interests by purchasing needed library materials to enhance or begin to grow the library collections. The funds for this initiative are provided through the generosity of UTC alumni who make monetary gifts to the Lupton Library. In the past four years, the initiative funded 44 proposals from across all colleges and spent approximately $36,000.00. The maximum dollar amount set this year for proposals is $750 per faculty member.
Please take this opportunity to directly impact the Library collection through the purchase of materials that support you, your students, your department, or your college. The deadline for proposals is December 11th. To access the proposal form, available online, click here
