Oozeball, 1990.
Did you know that this year is the 125th anniversary of UTC? The university is celebrating in many ways: from galas and lectures, to digital exhibits and the collection of oral histories. The celebration spans 18 months of activities from January 2011 thru May 2012. This fall, the Special Collections offers two new ways for you to learn about your university and connect with is heritage.
Wondering what the football team looked like in 1914 or how the campus has changed over the years? Check out our University Photograph Digital Collection, with over 450 images of university activities, buildings, and people from the last 125 years. Anyone for starting Oozeball back up?
Also just up is our new exhibit, Cultivating our Legacy: 125 Years of University History. When complete (Tuesday of next week or so), the exhibit will guide you through the 14 decades that the university has been open. You can begin your journey on the first floor of the library by exploring the exhibit case for the 1880’s and 1890’s. Grab an exhibit map & meander at your leisure through the remaining 7 exhibit cases.
