Say a lot … write a little. April is National Poetry Month and, in addition to our recent Library Poetry Thing, we’re looking for your best haiku. To make things interesting, we’re offering $50/$30/$20 Amazon gift cards to our top three in the 2nd Annual Library Haiku Contest!
Entering is easy: just grab a form at either of our first floor desks, fill in your contact info, write an amazing haiku, and drop it off at the Reference Desk by Sunday, April 22nd.
If you don’t know about haiku, here are the basics:
A haiku is a poem that is written in three lines. The first line contains five syllables, the second line contains seven syllables, and the third line contains five syllables.
For example:

lovely, old book smell
