A new statewide library courier is expediting the delivery of books requested through interlibrary loan (ILL). Dubbed FireFly, the courier picks up and delivers books and other materials to the UTC Library three days per week. Over 250 libraries across the state will ultimately participate in the courier service. Currently, the U.S. Postal Service delivers ILL books with an average delivery time of 9.46 days. With the implementation of FireFly, we hope to cut that delivery time significantly!
