9 out of 10 librarians agree: Halloween is the best day of the year* — which is why we’re so excited to announce our Halloween Costume Contest!
This year we’re doing things a little differently. When it comes to judging, we usually just round up some folks from our motley crew of library types to pick the contest winner, but this year we’re letting you decide! We’ll post photos of participants on our Facebook page, you Like your favorites, and the participant with the most Likes by 5 p.m. EST on Monday, November 5 will win a $50 gift card to the UTC Bookstore. Sound good?
All of this dress up business happens on Halloween, October 31, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the library atrium. Drop by, fill out a registration card, and we’ll take a photo. Need some inspiration? Check out our participants from 2011 and 2010. Even if you’re not interested in the contest (something, quite honestly, we have a hard time wrapping our heads around), stop by anyway for some candy, spooky tunes, and general merriment. See you there!
*Not based on any actual data of any kind whatsoever. But, seriously y’all, we really like Halloween.
