Each year the library invites faculty members to submit proposals for the one-time purchase of new library materials as part of the Library Enhancement Initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to support faculty who are developing new courses or research interests by purchasing needed library materials to enhance or grow library collections. The funds for this initiative are provided through the generosity of UTC alumni who make monetary gifts to the Lupton Library. In the past six years, the initiative funded 70+ proposals, from across all colleges and many departments, and spent approximately $55,000. The dollar limit set this year for proposals is $750 per faculty member. Please take this opportunity to directly impact the library collection through the purchase of materials that support you, your students, your department, or your college.
