In the Fall of 1962, Judy Coppinger was crowned Homecoming Queen, but the Moccasin neglects to tell us who her king was.

According the the October 18, 1962 , UC played Middle Tennessee State for the Homecoming game, but neither the yearbook nor the Echo tells us if the Mocs won the game. For that information, we consulted the Chattanooga Daily Times on microfilm. According to the Sunday, October 21, 1962 issue, the Mocs beat the Raiders 34-13.
