The UTC Library now has access to the archive of The Illustrated London News!

Begun in 1842 as the world’s first pictorial weekly newspaper, The Illustrated London News started a revolution for the publishing industry, featuring the work of many distinguished artists and providing images of major events and people (even before photography!). The historical archive available online features the full run of the newspaper up until 2003 in color, including special and presentation pieces.

Researchers are able to keyword search every article, browse individual issues, and even limit results to only display from the extensive image collection of photographs, maps, and cartoons.
