On Thursday evening, September 17, 7:00 pm, world-renowned artist and illustrator, and 1993 UTC Distinguished Alumnus, Barry Moser, will speak in the UC Auditorium. The topic of his talk is: “The Livery of Art: Seeing, Believing, and Chalk.” Mr. Moser is speaking on the occasion of the dedication of the Barry Moser Collection, housed in the Special Collections of Lupton Library. Mr. Moser will also be visiting with select classes during his visit to UTC.
The Barry Moser Collection in the Special Collections includes over 150 books illustrated by Mr. Moser, including classics and children’s books. The collection also includes some original art, calendars, posters, and advertisements also illustrated by Mr. Moser. Following the talk there will be a reception and a book signing. There will be copies of some of Mr. Moser’s books for sale at the event. The talk is free and open to the public.
