Films on Demand offers streaming video of 14 titles in a variety of subject areas, including Communications, Philosophy, Religion, Psychology, History and Literature.
Women and Social Movements
Women and Social Movements in the United States is intended for students and scholars with an interest in women’s history in the United States, as well as general U.S. history. This database includes over 125,000 pages from thousands of documents relating to women’s social movements from 1600 to today. If you are looking for primary documents relating to women’s rights, teaching tools for in-class use, or multimedia options for research into women’s history, then this database is a great place to start.
Theater in Video
Theater in Video is your premier source for streaming video of over 250 performances of the world’s leading plays and over 100 documentaries. Writers from Shakespeare to Ibsen, performers from Sir John Gielgud to Meryl Streep, and more are included, as well as the complete collection of the BBC’s productions of Shakespeare’s works.
Patrologia Latina
The Patrologia Latina Database is a fully searchable, electronic version of the first edition of Jacques-Paul Migne’s Patrologia Latina. It comprises the works of the Church Fathers starting with Tertullian in 200 AD to the death of Pope Innocent III in 1216. The database contains the complete Patrologia Latina, including all prefatory material, original texts, critical apparatus and indexes. Migne’s column numbers (essential references for scholars) are included.
