ReSEARCH Dialogues 2020: Now on UTC Scholar

The 2020 ReSEARCH Dialogues in-person events in April were cancelled in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus. However, Lisa Piazza, Director of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor, wanted to create another opportunity for participants to be recognized for their work and showcase their scholarship. UTC Scholar Now Part of SHARE

UTC Scholar is the university’s institutional repository that exposes student research and locally-published journals to a global audience. In 2015, the Open Access theses, dissertations, and journal articles housed in UTC Scholar were downloaded an average of 76 times by researchers from around the world. In order to improve the reach of the university’s scholarly and creative endeavors, the Library has partnered UTC Scholar with SHARE, an international database of more than 4.15

Celebrate Arbor Day with the American Chestnut Oral History Project

The American Chestnut Oral History Project documents memories of the native chestnuts’ economic and cultural importance in the years preceding and following the blight pandemic. This interdisciplinary digital collection blends ethnographic and historical methods with environmental science  and provides access to photographs, audio recordings, transcripts, and video.
