Louie Elliott and Trevor Elliott (Mechanical Engineering) Have received $14,586 from the Engineering Information Foundation for the project entitled, “UTC Girls to Engineers Network (GEN) Funding Priority – Programs to Encourage Middle School Girls in Engineering.”
Dr. Feng Bao (Mathematics) has received $60,970 from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the project entitled, “Scattering Research.”
Dr. Feng Bao (Mathematics) has received $5,000 from the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the project entitled, “Efficient adaptive backward SDE filter and its applications in material science.”
Dr. Joel Baxley (Southeast Center for Education) has requested and received $751 from the Williamson County Schools for the project entitled, “Visual Arts Concept-Based Instruction for K-12 Art Teachers.”
Ms. Belinda Brownlee (Center for Community Career Ed) has received $311,339 from the US Dept. of Education for the project entitled, “UTC Upward Bound Program.”
Mr. Andrew Carroll and Mr. Andrew Mindermann (Vice Chancellor for Research) have requested and received $1,550 from the Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park for the project entitled, “Map Updates for GA DNR and Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park.”
Mr. Andrew Carroll and Mr. Andrew Mindermann (Vice Chancellor for Research) have requested and received $45,000 from the Tennessee Valley Authority for the project entitled, “Application development for TVA Water Trails Project.”
Ms. Sandra Cole (Center for Community Career Ed) has requested and received $10,000 from the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga Incorporated for the project entitled, “CK, Now! Expansion.”
Dr. Lucien Ellington (School of Education) and Mr. Jeffrey Melnik (UTC Asia Program) have requested and received $17,996 from the Freeman Foundation for the project entitled, “Freeman Foundation Teacher Professional Development Programs 2017-2018.”
Dr. Trevor Elliott (Engineering Mechanical) has received $49,000 from the Denso North America Foundation for the project entitled, “Baja SAE Capstone Project.”
Dr. Gregory Heath (Health & Human Performance) and Dr. Jerald Ainsworth (Provost and Academic Affairs) have received $87,560 from the NIH’s National Center for Research Resources for the project entitled, “NIH BRAD – CREATE.”
Dr. Nicholas Honerkamp (Sociology) has received $4,322 from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for the project entitled, “A Proposal for Conducting Archaeological Survey and Testing at Three Historic Sites, Sapelo Island, Georgia.”
Dr. Ralph Hood (Psychology) and Dr. Christopher Silver (Academic Affairs) have requested and received $31,060 from The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine for the project entitled, “Protection of the Force and Family (POTFF) Spiritual Fitness Metrics.”
Dr. David Levine (Physical Therapy) has requested and received $2,978 from the Goodhew for the project entitled, “Effectiveness of Sockwell Compression Socks: A White Paper on Vascular Effects.”
Ms. Laurie Melnik and Ms. Michele Mummert (Southeast Center for Education and the Arts), have requested and received $8,000 from the TN Arts Commission for the project entitled, “Arts Learning Lab.”
Dr. Hong Qin (Engineering and SIM Center) has received $133,156 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CAREER: A probabilistic gene network model of cellular aging and its application on the conserved lifespan extension mechanisms of dietary restriction.”
Dr. Donald Reising (Engineering Electrical) has requested and received $58,941 from the Electric Power Research Institute for the project entitled, “Learning from Power Quality Wave Forms.”
Dr. Mina Sartipi (Computer Science and SimCenter) has received $15,600 from the National Science Foundation’s Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering for the project entitled, “REU Supplement – US Ignite: Collaborative Research: Focus Area 1: Fleet Management of Large-Scale Connected and Autonomous Vehicles in Urban Settings.”
Mr. Takeo Suzuki (International Education) has received $193,384 from FHI 360 for the project entitled, “Social Entrepreneurship SUSI Institute.”
