One of the most interesting jobs we have in Safety & Risk Management is helping with the planning and implementation of interesting programs like the MOC Wreck on October 16, 2014.
The program was sponsored by Sigma Kappa and the UTC Counseling and Personal Development Center, in partnership with 1N3. Students watched as actors realistically portrayed the consequence of impaired driving. Then, the mother of a drunk driving accident victim spoke to the students about her loss.
Life Safety Inspector Lisa Gladden and Health & Safety Specialist Robert Mullins spent time with several UTC staff and students ensuring the safety of the participants of this event. From the planning of the placement of the wreck vehicles to the coordination of the various agencies involved, they played a key role in bringing this program to our campus.
