By: Laura Kelton CHATTANOOGA (UTC/The Loop) - Human beings have a tendency to latch onto ideas that drive their thoughts from time to time. We often refer to this tendency as a “fever” such as “baby fever,” “wedding fever,” and in this case, “puppy fever.” For the general purpose of this article, the driving force will be Presley Coal, the most recent addition to our household. By: Cody Mohon CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- (The Loop) Homecoming week 2009 was indeed a “super” homecoming. The campus was busy with lip-syncing competitions and three legged races. Students were shoveling down free food and enjoying the golf cart parade through campus. While all this was going on outside, the DJ’s for The Perch, UTC’s first student run, web based station, were making history in their new studio on the first floor of the UC. Homecoming week 2009 was the first time these DJ’s were broadcasting live to the entire campus. [caption id="attachment_3590" align="alignright" width="439" caption="Station manager Krista Ashton and DJ Eric Bruno-Arimura hard ...

By: Siobhan Rahilly CHATTANOOGA (UTC/The Loop) - The New Moon Gallery opened on the new moon in June of 1989. By Siobhan Rahilly CHATTANOOGA (UTC/The Loop) – What really bugs me…. Ann Coulter. (Do I really need to write an introduction before naming her as the subject of this post? I don’t think so.) Ms. Coulter appeared at my school, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, yesterday to deliver a speech that was supposed to address the topic “Evaluating the Change in American Government.” What Ms. Coulter actually delivered was a litany of rude and crude one-liners aimed at Democrats, liberals,...
