It has come to our attention that students on campus are having some very strong reactions to the “speakers” in Heritage Plaza this week. Unfortunately, the speakers have chosen to use some very inflammatory language which can trigger distressing feelings for many individuals. Survivors of physical, sexual or verbal abuse may find themselves “triggered” by this language and re-experience or re-feel issues related to their abuse. These feelings can be very intense and difficult to handle.
