The Challenger STEM Learning Center recently visited Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA) for a virtual mission in three seventh grade science classrooms. The virtual mission incorporated and analyzed real-time data involving natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and earthquakes. The “Commander” of the mission communicated with the classroom via a live video chat. Each classroom worked in their assigned geology, engineering, hydrology, and emergency response teams. While the mission presented was challenging, the students at CGLA excelled in thinking quickly on their feet!

For more information, the virtual mission experience was featured¬†CGLA’s website. The Challenger Center looks forward to visiting more schools and providing virtual missions to students of all ages.
