Can you describe the ventilation in campus housing? Do the rooms share the same air circulation? Have there been any updates made to the systems to improve circulation between apartments in the dorms?
Bedrooms within unit suites share air circulation. Updates and maintenance in all the complexes are done in compliance with and in accordance with all designed specifications of buildings.
If a student decides not to remain on campus because all of the student’s classes have been made online, does the student lose the Hope or any other scholarships as if the student took a semester off from college?
If a student remains enrolled in all online classes, his or her scholarship(s) will continue just as for in-person courses. Will students still be allowed to participate in the Federal Work Study Program if positions are available?
Yes. Jobs will be available through the Federal Work-Study Program. The University has received no indication of any reduction in those funds.
When will Cares Act COVID-19 relief funds become available for students who have submitted requests?
Those relief funds are currently available. Students in need of assistance from this program should go to https://www.utc.edu/student-outreach/student-emergency-fund/index.php.
