The concentrations within the College’s Ph.D. Program in Computational Science have been expanded. In addition to Computational Engineering, candidates for the terminal degree in Computational Science may now consider the Computer Science concentration. These students are afforded the resources of both the College and the SimCenter: Center of Excellence in Applied Computational Science and Engineering. The program is intended to be an interdisciplinary degree offering broad exposure to applied mathematics, high performance computing, and a science or engineering application area. Due to the wide-scope of this interdisciplinary program, various concentration areas are or will become available. These concentration areas allow for flexibility, and may evolve as needed, to address educational and research priorities of regional, national, and global interest.
