Dr. Abdelrahman Karrar, visiting professor, Electrical Engineering, has submitted (in collaboration with others from UTC and TVA) a paper “On-site Low Voltage Determination of Zero Sequence Impedances for Station Auxiliary Transformers” which was selected among the best conference papers for the upcoming IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting 2016, Boston MA, July 17 – 21st.
A 2nd paper, “Influence of Zero Sequence Impedances of Station Auxiliary Transformers on Equipment Performance under Open-Phase Faults” was selected to be discussed in a panel session on Modeling and Analysis of Open Phase Faults, July 19, 3:00 – 5:00 pm. All paper authors are included as panelists in the event, and additionally research assistant Elamin Mohammed (a co-author) and Dr. Karrar will be speakers.
