Effective this Fall and encompassing a two year period, four CECS faculty in two different academic departments have been awarded a research grant in excess of $440K from the Engility Corporation. Dr. Craig Tanis, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, is working with Dr. Robert Webster, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Kidambi Sreenivas, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering; and Dr. James Newman, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Head of that CECS Department on a research project entitled, “Heterogeneous High-Performance Computing for High-Order Stabilized Finite –elements on Moving and Deforming Domains.”
