Over thirty employers from across the Chattanooga region participated in the College’s bi-annual Day of Networking held on November 1. Company representatives shared information regarding both internship and full-time employment opportunities available for the College’s degree seekers and graduates in all programs and concentrations in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. By hosting these Career Fairs in the Engineering, Math, and Computer Science Building, the College seeks to facilitate students’ easy access to potential employers, while also allowing the College’s faculty and staff to hear directly from employers about their workforce needs.
Under the leadership of CECS Student Success Director Julie David, a mini-workshop was held with the help of the University Career Services professionals prior to the Day of Networking. This activity helped CECS students to “polish up” their resumes and gain introduction and interview tips. Ms. David also encouraged feedback from participating employers regarding the types of positions they currently offer and those they anticipate in the future.
The Spring Day of Networking will be held on Wednesday, March 7th. All employers interested in participating in this event are welcomed, and are encouraged to contact Ms. David at Julie-David@utc.edu, (423) 425 5464, or by registering via this link: https://www.utc.edu/college-engineering-computer-science/student-employment/day-of-networking.php
