UTC Scholar is the university’s institutional repository that exposes student research and locally-published journals to a global audience. In 2015, the Open Access theses, dissertations, and journal articles housed in UTC Scholar were downloaded an average of 76 times by researchers from around the world.
In order to improve the reach of the university’s scholarly and creative endeavors, the Library has partnered UTC Scholar with SHARE, an international database of more than 4.15 million research release events. SHARE helps scholars maximize the impact of their scholarship by making research widely accessible and discoverable. SHARE Notify generates a feed of research release events, providing subscribers with the information they need to find new research and collaborators.
