The UTC Library provides access to Palgrave Pivot’s, a collection of almost 600 pieces of research spanning business, economics, education, history, international relations, language, literature, political science, philosophy, and theatre. Each piece of research in Palgrave Pivot’s reads longer than a journal article but shorter than a book, allowing authors to provide more in-depth coverage of some unique topics that could not fit within the constraints of an article or book.
This collection includes works like “Competitive Dynamics in the Mobile Phone Industry,” which explores the business practices and decisions of the world’s leading mobile phone vendors.
Also available is “Youth Practices in Digital Arts and New Media: Learning in Formal and Informal Settings,” a work that touches on learning practices in a digital environment.
It’s also possible to read about the online horror phenomenon Slender Man in “Folklore, Horror Stories, and the Slender Man: The Development of an Internet Mythology”.
All Palgrave Pivot’s are available through Springer Link or via the library catalog, WorldCat Discovery.
