Beginning in late-June, the College of Business and the Center for Global Education will host the U.S. Department of State’s Study of the U.S. Institute for Student Leaders (SUSI) from Europe. Undergraduate students from Europe will study Social Entrepreneurship and American culture on UTC’s campus for four weeks during the months of June and July. During this program, the students participate in a homestay with American families, which is a pivotal part of the program. Students will stay with an American family for one night, the evening of Saturday, July 15. The students love to engage with Americans and would love to explore more of Chattanooga with their hosts!
To make the students feel more comfortable, we prefer that at least two students stay at each home if possible. To be considered, each family will be visited at their home by representatives of UTC’s Center for Global Education, as well as the completion of a background check and survey. This process is worth being part of this incredible program and engaging with these remarkable European students.
