The College of Business’ top performing students were honored during the Chambliss Student Recognition Ceremony on Friday, April 20, 2018 in UTC’s Patten Chapel.
Each year in the Spring, the College of Business honors students at the Student Recognition Ceremony in the following categories: Student Organizations and Leaders, Departmental Awards and Honor Societies, John C. Stophel Distinguished Scholars, and graduating seniors. Students were also inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for Business majors at AACSB Accredited Schools; Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society for Economics Majors; and the Sigma Iota Epsilon Honor Society for Management Majors.
River City Company President and CEO, Kim White, served as the keynote speaker for this year’s event. A Chattanooga native, Kim had a successful 16-year career with Fortune 500 company, ALLTELL Communications, working throughout the southeast. After returning to Chattanooga in 2003, Kim served as president and CEO of the Corker Group managing and leasing over 2 million square feet of real estate before taking the top role at River City Company in 2009. White shared her professional experiences and words of encouragement for the students.
