A message for alumni of the College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Dear College of Business Alumni,
As you may have heard, in June 2018, the UTC College of Business was named. You are now graduates of the Gary W. Rollins College of Business.
The naming honors Mr. Rollins, an alumnus whose global company, Rollins, Inc., (a conglomerate that includes Orkin Pest Control) just celebrated 50 years on the New York Stock Exchange. His recent gift of $40 million is the largest in the University’s history and establishes a great legacy for UTC and for the Rollins College of Business. His vision and investment will allow us to increase support for our students, grow our faculty resources, expand our academic programs and improve our facilities to meet the growing demands of the business world.
Our goal is to become a national model in business education by using technology-driven teaching methods focused on providing students with relevant skills and knowledge to address real business problems and through faculty research that tackles the complexities of business and impacts business practice. In years to come, degrees achieved by alumni will only become more valuable as the ripple effects of this success spread across the business community.
With this gift we have set lofty goals, but the continued success will require broad-based alumni support. As alumni we encourage you to remember the opportunities you received, the faculty who changed your life and the resources that were made available to you during your days at UTC.
Please join me in making a tax deductible gift, of any amount, to the new Gary W. Rollins College of Business today. Those interested in making a gift may do so online at our secure website, give.utc.edu/rcob
The future of the Gary W. Rollins College of Business is very bright and will shine that much brighter with the support of our alumni.
Kindest Regards,
Robert S. Dooley, ’83 and ’91 (MBA)
Dean, Gary W. Rollins College of Business
