At the Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, we know that earning an MBA degree can help you to advance in your existing career field, transition to a new career, or climb the ladder at your current place of work. But, one of the biggest benefits of earning an Online MBA degree or Flexible MBA degree at UTC is the quality career services that are offered to students as a part of the MBA degree program. You will undoubtedly find that the top-notch skills earned through your MBA program coursework paired with quality career services will help to propel you into the career field you’ve always desired.
It is more than fair to suggest that students pursuing their MBA degrees are doing so in order to land a better paying or more desirable job. For this reason, we are especially proud to offer career services that help our graduate students to do just that. At the Rollins College of Business, career services such as career coaching, internship advising, and professional development services are just a few of the different services that help our students to be top contenders when applying for jobs and internships. Additionally, students in our graduate MBA degree program have access to quality networking events with business professionals in the Chattanooga area as well as advisement when building a resume, writing a cover letter, interviewing for a job, or beefing up a LinkedIn profile. UTC students have access to a nation-wide database of job listings that include every industry and size of company.
While regular participation in various career events is encouraged for our students, the Rollins College of Business also has a dedicated graduate student career coach who provides one-on-one career coaching, resume reviews, professional development webinars, on-campus and virtual networking seminars, and other career-related services. Our career coach can help you to identify any gaps that you may have in your resume or skillset and aid you in bridging those gaps to make you a more desirable candidate when seeking a job or promotion. If you are ready to pivot to a different job or industry, the career coach can assist with strategizing and implementing a plan for that. Recently, our career coach hosted an on-campus seminar dedicated to the importance of networking. At this seminar, students learned how to dodge awkward introductions and effectively build relationships that will help bolster their careers. Events and services such as these are what give our students the skills and confidence they need to succeed and advance in their careers.
At the UTC Rollins College of Business, it is our aim to make sure that students in our Flexible MBA degree program and 100% Online MBA degree program are well-equipped when entering the job market. In addition to the invaluable instruction provided to our students in their coursework, our cutting-edge career services go above and beyond to put our students on the occupational pathway to success.
