Gary W. Rollins, Chairman and CEO of Rollins, Inc. and naming donor of the UTC Gary W. Rollins College of Business, was honored as one of 2020’s Most Admired CEOs by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The awards, presented virtually in December, honored Atlanta-based CEOs with a strong record of innovation, outstanding financial performance, and commitment to diversity in the workplace, who have made significant contributions to the metro community.
Gary W. Rollins is the Chairman and CEO of Rollins, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange corporation with numerous holdings including Orkin, the world’s largest pest control company. He is a 1967 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. degree in business. In June 2018, Mr. Rollins and Kathleen Rollins, his wife, made the largest philanthropic gift in the history of UTC to the College of Business. The historic $40 million gift also marked the first college to be named at UTC, the Gary W. Rollins College of Business.
Mr. Rollins is a former member of the Emory University Board of Trustees and its executive committee, and is also a founding director of the Tuxedo Park Civic Association, a member of the Atlanta High Museum of Art, and a member of the United Way de Tocqueville Society. He is a past member of the Board of Trustees of Egleston Hospital for Children and a former Trustee at The Westminster School.
