The College of Business’ top performing students were honored during the Chambliss Student Recognition Ceremony on Friday, April 21, 2017 in UTC’s Patten Chapel.
Each year in the Spring, the College of Business honors students at the Student Recognition Ceremony in the following categories: Student Organizations and Leaders, Departmental Awards and Honor Societies, and John C. Stophel Distinguished Scholars. Students were also inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for Business Majors at AACSB Accredited Schools; Alpha Mu Alpha Honor Society for Marketing Majors; Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society for Economics Majors; and the Sigma Iota Epsilon Honor Society for Management Majors.
Recent College of Business Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame inductee, Mitch Patel, served as the keynote speaker for this year’s event. Mitch founded Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. With Mitch’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive, Vision has grown from a single hotel to a national presence. Mr. Patel shared his entrepreneurial story and words of encouragement for our students.
