Last week (June 24-28, 2019), high school students from across the state of Tennessee participated in the Gary W. Rollins College of Business’ Summer Business Experience.
The program was designed for academically talented rising high school seniors who show an interest in business disciplines. The Summer Business Experience offers the opportunity to interact one-on-one with university professors and successful business professionals through a variety of hands-on workshops, field trips and seminars. Students were able to visit and learn from local Chattanooga companies such as Covenant Transport, Elliott Davis, and Unum. The program also included a trip to city hall to meet with Mayor Andy Berke.
This year, the following TN schools were represented: Siegel High School, Central Magnet School (Murfreesboro), Chattanooga Central High School, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, Soddy Daisy High School, Wilson Central, Notre Dame High School, McCallie School, Signal Mountain Middle/High School, East Nashville Magnet High School, Nolensville High School, William Blount High School, and Independence High School.
