The rainy weather may have driven the battle between the Gary W. Rollins College of Business and College of Engineering and Computer Science indoors, but it didn’t dampen the competitive spirit during the third annual Field Day Games.
The event, moved from Chamberlain Field to the UTC Challenger Center, featured a variety of contests from hula hoop races, cornhole, and Connect4. This year, the competition was expanded to include a dance off and culminated in the final tug-of-war battle between the two colleges.
The lighthearted event began three years ago as a way to bring the RCOB and CECS residential colleges together but has expanded to include other student groups as well as faculty and staff from each college. Coming back from a crushing defeat last year, the Rollins College of Business beat the College of Engineering and Computer Science by a mere ten points, bringing home the victory and sending the Loser’s Trophy back to CECS.
