Thank you for your patience as we cope with the novel coronavirus health crisis. As announced by Chancellor Angle on March 11, UTC has moved all face-to-face instruction to an online mode of delivery on March 23, 2020. ALL classes will be presented in an online-only format beginning Monday, March 23.
As we work to ensure that your academic instruction continues through online delivery, we also want you know that we’re working to ensure that you also have access to the services provided by the Joseph F. Decosimo Success Center in the Gary W. Rollins College of Business. In keeping with the University’s decision to suspend all face-to-face classes and events, Academic Advising and Career Development will be provided online or via telephone.
Undergraduate Academic Advising
Until further notice, all students, with or without a scheduled appointment, will be advised by email or telephone. When you are advised by email or phone you will receive an updated, electronic copy of your academic plan via your UTC email account. Please review that academic plan carefully and email your assigned academic advisor with any questions or concerns regarding your academic plan or summer/fall registration.
Students who have scheduled advising appointments
All academic advising appointments will be conducted by UTC email. If you have a previously scheduled appointment, you will receive an updated academic plan in a separate email by March 30th for your review. This plan will include recommended classes for fall 2020 registration as well as additional fall course options should you need them. Please continue to check your UTC email for additional information and further updates.

Prior to your assigned registration date, you will receive an updated, electronic copy of your academic plan via a separate email to your UTC email account. Undergraduate Career Development
The Decosimo Success Center team in the Rollins College of Business is pleased to have options that allow us to continue to work with you to meet your career goals. So, while on-campus meetings are not currently available, we would like to encourage you to set up a meeting with a career advisor as you prepare to make the transition from student to professional. We miss seeing you on campus and the options below allow us to meet the current safety measures in place for UTC while still connecting with you and keeping you on track with your goals.
- If your meeting requires an in-depth conversation (such as being unsure of your major, or conducting a job search, or discussing networking advice), we can talk on the phone at the time of your appointment.
- If you meeting requires visual aids (such as a resume review or LinkedIn critique or mock interview), we can easily set up a Zoom meeting so we can share our computer screens while we chat.
Don’t be shy! Make your appointment here: https://www.utc.edu/college-business/student-success-center/career-services.php (On the appointment page, scroll under the pic until you see the blue boxes, and click there to see our schedules. If you don’t see a time on our schedules that works for you, just email us with a few options to meet during normal business hours and we will do our best to find a time that suits your needs – emails listed below.) After you schedule your meeting, email the career advisor you will be meeting with to let them know which option you’d prefer – a Zoom meeting or a phone meeting.
By the way, if you have just a simple question on your mind, such as how to get academic credit for an internship or sign up for a career assessment or get a cover letter critiqued, you are welcome to send a quick email and we will respond within two business days!
We have many appointments available and encourage you to schedule a time for us to meet whenever the need arises.
