Last week (June 19-23, 2017), high school students from Tennessee and Georgia participated in the College of Business’ Summer Business Experience program.
The program is designed for academically talented rising high school seniors who show an interest in business disciplines. The Summer Business Experience offers the opportunity to interact one-on-one with university professors and successful business professionals through a variety of hands-on workshops, field trips and seminars. This year, students were able to visit and learn from local Chattanooga companies such as McKee Foods, PlayCore, Chattanooga City Hall, the Edney Innovation Center, and even met with Mayor Andy Berke!
This year, the following TN and GA schools were represented: Campbell County High School, Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy, Clarksville Academy, Fannin County Comprehensive High School, Farragut High School, Gatlinburg Pittman High School, Girls Preparatory School, Hardin Valley Academy, Houston High School, Knoxville Catholic High School, Maryville High School, McMinn Central High School, Polk County High School, Power Center Academy High School, Ravenwood High School, Sequatchie County High School, Trinity Christian Academy, and West High School.
