Ms. Patricia Lin- Steadman joined UTC Center for Global Education (CGE) as Senior Coordinator of International Student and Scholar Services. Patricia started her journey with us on December 1, 2017.
As Senior Coordinator of International Students and Scholar Services, Patricia’s responsibilities will include ensuring that the appropriate administrative infrastructure and services are in place to efficiently support International Students and Scholars at UTC. She will serve as the Designated School Official (DSO) and Assistant Responsible Officer (ARO). She will design and implement comprehensive orientation, onboarding, and retention programs for UTC international students and scholars.
Patricia comes to UTC with many years of experience for both domestic students studying abroad and international students. Her recent accomplishments include advising international students on educational and immigration matters at the University of Connecticut and the University of Evansville, as well as coordinating study abroad programs at East Tennessee State University. Because of her bicultural upbringing as a child of Taiwanese immigrants to Argentina, she is familiar with Latin and Asian cultures and can converse fluently in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
Patricia received a Master of Arts in International Studies with a Graduate Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Special Education minor and reading endorsement from the University of Evansville. She is currently in the process of obtaining the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University.
