UTC’s Relay and Smart Grid laboratory has been recognized by a leading magazine in the power industry, Transmission and Distribution World. The publication highlighted the unique partnerships between UTC and local utilities in attaining the laboratory, begun more than a decade ago by Dr. Ahmed H. Eltom, Professor of Electrical Engineering at UTC.
For the fifth year in a row, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will present a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues on Thursday, February 21 at 7 p.m., Friday, February 22, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, February 23, at 2 p.m. at the University Center Auditorium.
The 2012-2013 season of the Hunter Lecture Series continues with Will Allen, a former professional basketball player turned urban farmer. Allen will be speaking on February 26 at 7 p.m. at Roland Hayes Auditorium in the UTC Fine Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited; first come, first served.
This February, UTC will celebrate Black History Month with a variety of events including a movie showing, poetry night, and student play.
Andrea Kulesz, UTC student and self confessed “Zumba addict,” didn’t need to think twice about signing up for the Zumbathon that rocked the UTC Aquatics and Recreation Center. She happily danced for a cause as the University partnered with the American Heart Association for the fun charity event in celebration of National Heart Month.
