UTC coursework goes online March 23

  In response to growing concern about coronavirus (COVID-19) and its possible effect on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus, UTC will suspend face-to-face classes as of Monday, March 16. The week of March 16 will be used to migrate face-to-face courses to online instruction platforms. Online courses will officially start the week of March 23, and plans call for the resumption of normal operations Monday, March 30.

Although students can resume all normal activities, including showers, laundry, cooking and drinking water from taps, the Hamilton County Health Department has advised all restaurants and commercial food vendors to boil their water before using it for food preparation. Weather closure at UTC: Tuesday, Jan. 29

Due to snow and icy conditions forecast for Tuesday, Jan. 29, UTC will be closed. All classes are canceled and all campus offices are closed on Tuesday. Food service will be available in the Crossroads Dining facility from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The ARC (Aquatic and Recreation Center) on campus will open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
