Dr. J.R. Clark, Scott L. Probasco Chair of Free Enterprise, had his editorial entitled “Climate Crisis Was Too Good To Waste” published in Investor’s Business Daily. The editorial appeared online December 30, 2009, and was published December 31, 2009, in the world distribution of the publication.
“It is more important than ever people understand the political economy driving much of climatic research. The point of our article in IBD is that when science becomes influenced so heavily by politics, we end up with large portions of an entire profession more committed to a particular political policy than to science itself,” Clark said.
Clark said this is the first time he’s been published in Investor’s Business Daily, which is read by 385,000 subscribers. The editorial discussed how the issue of global warming has taken on a political life of its own.
Clark has researched and written extensively on such topics as public finance, taxation, and education reform.
