The UTC Bass Anglers Club plans to host its second tournament series in Spring 2010. Club President Alex Craw says the Tennessee Collegiate Bass Fishing Trail is open to any collegiate angler.
The tentative schedule is:
February 20
Tims Ford Lake – Tims Ford Marina Ramp in Winchester, Tennessee
March 13
Kentucky Lake – Anchors Inn Ramp in New Johnsonville, Tennessee
April 10
Nickajack Lake – Shellmound Ramp in Jasper, Tennessee
May 8
Watts Bar Lake – Spring City Ramp in Spring City, Tennessee
May 27-28
Chickamauga Lake – Chester Frost Ramp in Hixson, Tennessee*

Craw and Taylor Massingill took third place at a tournament held in November on Chickamauga Lake. Two teams of UTC students were also recognized. Parker Bacon and Casey Murray placed eighth and Nick Pratt and Jayme Copenhaver placed thirteenth. The UTC Bass Anglers hosted the event. They launched from Chester Frost Park and fished for seven hours. Students representing four Tennessee colleges competed in the tournament.
