What is the forensic science of investigating a disaster? Why did the World Trade twin towers collapse? These are just a few of the questions to be answered during the film screening and panel discussion of the “The Science of 9/11” on Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the UTC University Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
The event both commemorates the 10 years since September 11 and explores scientific questions about the collapse of the World Trade Towers being raised by now over 1,500 architects, engineers, military personnel, and scientists.
Following the presentation of the film, “Architects & Engineers 9/11 Truth Video,” a panel of experts will discuss the government NIST Report about exactly how the World Trade towers and Building 7 collapsed. Panelists will include:
· Jim Hall, former Director of the National Transportation Safety Board and leading expert on transportation safety and security
· Tom Junod, Esquire magazine journalist who interviewed families and survivors to determine the identity of the famous “Falling Man.”
· Dr. Erwin Foster, UTC College of Engineering professor emeritus, civil engineer, and forensic investigator
· Dr. David Johnson, a UT Knoxville urban planning professor emeritus and urban engineering expert
Richard Winham from WUTC FM will moderate the discussion.
