Six students from the greater Chattanooga Area who recently took top honors in the UTC Music Department Piano Arts Competition will perform in a recital at the UTC Cadek Recital Hall on Sunday, June 12 at 3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Executive MBA students gain global perspective
Ten Executive MBA (EMBA) students and College of Business faculty recently returned from a ten-day international business visit to Zurich, Switzerland and Milan, Italy. Students gained a global perspective on management, economics and trade during this international trip, the culmination of a 16-month intensive EMBA program.

A colorful climbing wall with sides you can use as a chalkboard? UTC engineering students designed a new way to cognitively and physically engage Rhea County students age five to ten years.
Chattanooga Symposium Events

National symposium: the history of music teaching and learning, June 2-4
Musicologists, music education historians, and historians of education will gather to discuss research in music teaching and learning at a triennial national symposium, co-sponsored by the UTC Music Department. This event will be held at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel from Thursday-Saturday, June 2-4.
WUTC-FM conducts successful spring membership drive
During the successful WUTC-FM spring membership drive, the public radio station licensed to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced its next generation of upgrades. In the coming year, the WUTC audience will have the chance to hear digital WUTC broadcasts with added broadcast power.
UTC alumnus becomes dean of UTC College of Business
Dr. Robert S. Dooley will become the new dean of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Business on July 1, 2011. Dooley currently serves as Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.
