It kicked off with an enormous cake shaped like Old Main, featured a Founder’s Day to remember, and recognized individuals at the African-American Achievement Alumni Awards dinner—125 years at the University were celebrated with birthday goodies, thought-provoking speakers, and a time to honor those who have contributed to UTC’s progress. May Commencement will mark the official closure of the quasquicentennial, but before that, there’s the Blue and Gold Spring Game!
The Football Mocs will play the Chattanooga Football Spring Game on March 31. It will be a fun, free, family-oriented day at Finley Stadium, so plan to bring the kids.
A soccer scrimmage begins at 10 a.m. followed by a free kids’ football clinic beginning at noon. Warm-ups for the football team begin at 1 p.m. and the Spring Game kicks off at 2 p.m.
“The Blue and Gold Spring Game is a great chance for Mocs fans to get an early look at the 2012 Chattanooga football squad,” said Coach Russ Huesman.
